History
New Beginnings is a contemporary church with a Church of Christ heritage. Our roots as a congregation go back to the 1950's as Main Street Church of Christ in South Houston. After 40 years of growth and change, church leaders made a landmark decision to relocate to the Bay Area of Houston, selling our Main Street property to a church better-equipped to minister to people in the local area.
This change in location also required a change in name. In 1997, New Beginnings Church was founded. For the first few years we were extremely portable, meeting in various schools for Sunday worship services and working out of leased office space during the week. The first church building we purchased was located down the street from our present location.
In 2003, New Beginnings began renting our current facility at 14325 Crescent Landing from Grace Community Church who had just relocated to their new Gulf Freeway location. In June 2005, New Beginnings partnered with Clear Lake Christian School to co-purchase the facility from Grace Community Church.
