One Year Bible

The following links are provided to you as a service from NBC to encourage you to read your Bible. Each link has one or multiple one year Bible reading plans.

ESV (English Standard Version) - Multiple reading options are available through this site. All have mobile and RSS feed options.

NavPress - This pdf printout has been created by NavPress with 25 days of reading each month. This allows you to have several "free days" each month. With this freedom you could set aside Sunday to either not read at all or to catch up on any readings you may have missed in the past week. If you finish the month's readings by the 25th, you could use the final days of the month to study passages that challenged or intrigued you.

BiblePlan - This site gives you several options which allow you to customize a plan that is heavier in certain areas.

May we boldly remind you:

The purpose of reading your Bible is NOT to be ‘more’ saved. You are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:1-10). Nor is the purpose of reading your Bible to be able to say you read through the Bible in one year. The purpose of reading your Bible is to experience the nearness of God.

Just a couple of pointers:

1. Begin today.

2. Make a plan (hence the purpose of the links—to provide for you a plan!)

3. Don’t quit if you miss a day or two or seven.

4. Pray for understanding for application.

5. Journal your thoughts.

6. Look for the message of Jesus.

7. Share your insights with a group of friends you invite along the same journey! This will help ensure your success!

It is our prayer that this year you will be blessed with an even closer experience with God through Christ Jesus!
