Welcome to SUPER SUMMER at NBC!
This week:
'Dependence Day' Games

The summer lineup is ‘family-oriented,’ meaning all ages are invited to attend. There are activities for adults and children.
This summer we will focus on two main areas: fellowship and story.
In an atmosphere that is not sequential in the sense of a single subject, but strategic in the sense of the Scriptural call to community, we seek to help grow families as well as individuals through multi-sensory and diverse experiences.
All of it is designed to promote faith and equip you to live out the calling of Jesus Christ!
Dinner will start at 6:00 PM
Activities will begin at 7:00 PM unless otherwise noted
Bring a friend or a family with you! Let the community of faith demonstrate the grace and love of Jesus Christ as we learn to live together this super summer!

To Pray Jesus' Prayer
Here are earlier posts
"...for thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever, Amen."
As the prayer begins, so it ends--giving glory to God, recognizing our place in his good creation, and his authority to not only care for the issues of the present, but the issues that transcend time and place.
It's more than comforting or assuring to know that God has all authority (Matthew 28:18).
Jesus teaches us that by praying "...thy kingdom come, they will be done" early in the prayer, we position ourselves to recognize the priority and excellence of the Kingdom of God over my own kingdom. I have my wants and wishes, but because I know my God is holy--uncommon, not like any other god, not like any human--I'm willing to receive whatever he chooses to give.
Our God is holy, he is good, he is giving, he is excellent, he is brilliant, he is beautiful...adjectives seem to be created to try to extol his virtues, but they always pale in comparison! May we pray this prayer with our hearts leaning towards him, and may this prayer give us peace and faith to let God be God, and we take our place as his servants--well cared for, at peace, full of joy, reflecting Him.
Since January, across the city, people have been encouraged to pray the Lord's Prayer. We have been aligning with this request, encouraging you to take a moment or two at 12:00 noon, every day, and pray the Lord's Prayer.
"Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen."
Matthew 6:9-13, King James Version
